Seoul St. Mary's Hospital and Puzzle AI Sign MOU for AI Medical Record System Development
Catholic University of Korea Seoul St. Mary's Hospital (President Prof. Yoon Seung-gyu) and AI healthcare startup Puzzle AI (CEO Kim Yong-sik) announced on April 9, 2025, that they had signed an agreement on April 7 for the joint development of a 'full-cycle generative medical record' system. According to the announcement, the partnership builds on a Voice EMR (Voice Electronic Medical Record) system the two organizations have operated together since 2019, with the goal of advancing to a generative AI-based approach that automatically creates the appropriate medical record forms according to each clinical situation. The two parties plan to initially select two pilot wards to develop generative medical records covering all nursing activities, with a target of deploying the system within the year. Notably, once fully operational, the system is expected to allow medical staff to generate and input records in real time via voice command across emergency rooms, operating rooms, and intensive care units, significantly reducing administrative burdens and enabling safer patient care.
