PuzzleAI (CEO Kim Yong-sik), an AI healthcare startup, announced on September 2, 2025 that it has secured a strategic investment from Daewoong Pharmaceutical, one of South Korea's leading pharma companies, and will pursue joint collaboration going forward. LSK Investment, Astone Ventures, and Gyeongnam Venture Investment also participated as financial investors, though the total investment amount was not disclosed. Under the agreement, the two companies plan to cooperate in the areas of smart hospital beds (advanced patient management bed systems) and medical voice recognition, with a joint focus on developing next-generation smart hospital solutions powered by generative AI. PuzzleAI, founded in 2018, reportedly holds proprietary voice recognition engine and large language model (LLM) technologies, and has recently been developing and commercializing medical AI voice recognition solutions equipped with Agent functionality. Building on this partnership with Daewoong Pharmaceutical, the company has also announced its intention to pursue a KOSDAQ listing in 2026, drawing significant attention from the industry.
