Puzzle AI was reported to be working with Cando Implant, a California-based dental education company, to develop an AI-powered medical documentation solution tailored to dental care settings and to localize the product for the U.S. market. Based on market research and localization efforts, the two companies jointly developed Cando Gen, a solution designed for dental workflows.

Localization for the U.S. Dental Market

According to the report, Puzzle AI has been pursuing product localization for the U.S. market in cooperation with Cando Implant. Since signing an MOU in January 2025, the two companies have conducted local market research, product localization, and service infrastructure development, leading to the joint development of a dental-specific AI documentation solution.

Cando Gen for Dental Workflows

Cando Gen was introduced as an AI-based solution that automates medical documentation by collecting voice data generated during dental treatment. A dedicated microphone captures treatment-related speech, the recorded audio is summarized through an in-house large language model, and an AI agent then handles input into the electronic health record system.

Designed for Noisy Dental Environments

The report said the solution is focused on reducing documentation burden even in noisy dental treatment environments. In that sense, it can be seen as a case of applying medical speech recognition and documentation technology to the specific conditions of dental care.

Collaboration Aimed at the U.S. Market

Cando Implant was quoted as positively evaluating the solution in terms of speech recognition accuracy and ease of use. The report also said Puzzle AI developed the solution based on data and AI expertise accumulated in the dental field, and is reviewing a phased launch and broader partnership expansion in the U.S., starting with California.

This collaboration can be understood as a case in which a dental-specific AI documentation solution is being used to advance localization efforts and explore expansion in the U.S. market.
