Puzzle AI provides a voice EMR solution that automatically generates electronic medical records across various medical settings, including consultations, ward rounds, surgery, and emergency care, based on its proprietary AI speech recognition technology that learned Korean-specific Konglish.
CEO Yong-Sik Kim, an orthopedic specialist who served as the president of both Seoul St. Mary's Hospital and Yeouido St. Mary's Hospital at the Catholic University of Korea, founded Puzzle AI in 2018 to reduce the documentation burden in medical settings.
CEO Kim analyzed that the competitive landscape of the medical AI market is rapidly shifting from diagnostic assistance to task automation-centered AI agents, stating that the company is advancing its technology beyond speech recognition to automate summarization, medical record creation, and prescription support.
He expressed his intention to expand collaboration with overseas medical institutions beyond supplying domestic hospitals, thereby initiating a full-scale entry into the global market.
